Three people accused of trying to blackmail Coleen Rooney after she lost her mobile phone have appeared in court.
Lee Barry Platt, 28, Jennifer Amy Green, 25, and Steven Edward Malcolm, 42, from Manchester are accused of blackmail and handling stolen goods.
Mrs Rooney was allegedly targeted over photos of her son, Kai.
A judge at Manchester Magistrates’ Court ordered them to return to Manchester Crown Court on 4 July.
It is understood that Mrs Rooney accidentally left her phone at the Manchester Evening News Arena when the couple attended a concert by the Black Eyed Peas last May.
Mrs Rooney and her husband, Manchester United and England footballer Wayne, were later subject to a demand for cash.
Mr Platt, from Heaton Park Road, Blackley, Manchester, appeared in court from custody and was remanded back into custody on Monday.
Ms Green, of the same address, and Mr Malcolm, from Silkin Court, Manchester, were released on bail.
All were jointly charged with both offences.
