The wives and girlfriends of the England players won’t be going to the World Cup because manager Fabio Capello won’t let them spend extra time with their men. Capello said they could only see the players once a week.
“We’re going to South Africa to play, not for a holiday. If they don’t want to come for the day only, they should stay home.”
So the ladies are doing just that.
Coleen, who gave birth to baby Kai in November, said: “Kai and me will be supporting Wayne and the team from home. We wouldn’t see much of Wayne while we’re there because of the ban. It’s what I’d rather do.”
Coleen added: “It’s such a long way to go for a little baby and you never know how far the team are going to get. South Africa will be too hot for Kai and it will be his first holiday away, so I’d rather have Wayne with me to help out.”

Hi Colleen – we have stunning warm days in Winter in Gauteng, South Africa – it is only cold in the evenings but you would not consider it cold compared to the weather you experience – but coming over and having to cope with Kai on your own in a strange country would be difficult – SA is stunning we hope that you will come over when Kai is older – you will love it (ex-Hemelhempstead resident)
