Coleen and Wayne have completed the first stage of their Italian nuptials by signing the paperwork allowing them to marry. The couple attended the town hall in the coastal resort of Santa Margherita, outside Portofino, earlier today.
There they signed a sworn declaration of intent, or Promessa di Matrimonio, before a civil registrar.
The document must be signed at least two days before the marriage ceremony takes place.
It was a relaxed occasion, with McLoughlin in a blue and cream Missoni dress and her footballer fiancé in a T-shirt.
After the midday signing, the couple, both 22, were whisked off to the Hotel Splendido.
